What is Art Therapy?
As stated from the Art Therapy Association, “Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.”
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that utilizes art as a tool for self expression. It encourages individuals to give voice to emotions through the artistic and creative process. You do not need to be a “good” artist to benefit from art therapy.

Health Insurance Information
I am in network provider with Cigna and an out of network provider for other insurance companies. You are responsible for payment at the time of treatment, and you will be provided with a receipt for submission to your insurance provider. When filing through insurance a mental health diagnosis is added to your health records. Please check with your health insurance provider for more information. Below are helpful questions to ask to find out the details of your coverage:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health psychotherapy services?
Does your insurance cover the LCAT license (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist)?
If yes, how many sessions are covered per calendar year?
What is my out of pocket payment before my deductible is met?
What percentage of the fee for each visit will be covered?
For cancellation of a scheduled appointment, 24 hours notice is required by email or phone. If less than 24 hours is given you will be responsible for payment of your full session fee.
