ART THERAPY FOR CHILDREN
Children are often unable to articulate and define their emotions. Art therapy has proven to be a powerful modality to access valuable information and insights that children are unable to express. Art therapy gently guides them to process and understand emotions that may be too difficult or overwhelming to articulate verbally. A child’s natural form of expression through art and play is enlivened in a therapeutic, supportive and nonthreatening environment. It is through art and play that children harness effective coping techniques to prepare them for adulthood, by providing them tools to work through challenges and anxieties and to foster confidence.
A CHILD'S THERAPY SESSION
Sessions with the therapist and child are held in a safe, nurturing and playful art studio space. By having the opportunity to use a range of art mediums, a natural form of communication, children are able to find new ways to express themselves and find their voice.
A comfortable and relaxing waiting room is provided for parents.
