This 4 part circle series came to be after women having attended the bi-monthly circles expressed the desire to delve more into their life challenges then was possible in a single circle. This series will give women that opportunity by more deeply fostering their personal growth and creative selves through guided art-making.

This is a closed group, meaning the same group of women will meet once a week for 4 weeks at my safe, nurturing and supportive space in Cross River’s Yellow Monkey Village. This circle series is for women at any stage or transition in life with a desire to evolve. Absolutely NO previous art experience is necessary to enjoy the benefits of this circle series.

Too much time is spent rationalizing and analyzing our life challenges on a cognitive, intellectual level. Art therapy with the community of circle, is a conduit for healing and for providing a means of connecting to unspoken aspects of ourselves on a more visceral level.

Mika has a graduate degree from Pratt Institute, is a licensed Art Therapist and a certified specialist in child development. She has worked with children, young adults and their families for over 12 years in pediatric hospitals, hospice, and the New York City public school system. Currently in private practice, specializing in loss. She also facilitates women’s circles that focus on self-care and identity.

This circle series runs for 4 consecutive weeks on Wednesday mornings  from 9:30-11:15am.
