About The Event
A pop up Mom’s Night Out Art Circle benefit for the Tree House Bereavement Center of Westchester at All Together Now in MOUNT KISCO. Enjoy a fun night out while also benefiting a great cause in your community!
The struggle to balance self-care and motherhood is REAL.
Mom’s Night Out Art Circles give mothers the opportunity to nurture their creative selves with other women to foster personal growth and self-expression through guided art-making. Absolutely no previous art experience is necessary to enjoy the benefits of this circle.
Mika is an art therapist and psychotherapist in private practice. She is the mother of two young children who recognizes that maintaining her individual identity apart from being a mother is challenging, and taking time for herself is even harder. The Moms Night Out Art Circles give mothers the opportunity to focus on their own self-care as well as the affording them the freedom to foster their personal identity in a fun, supportive environment.
She has a graduate degree from Pratt Institute, is a licensed Art Therapist and is a certified specialist in child development. She has worked with children, young adults and their families for over 12 years in pediatric hospitals, hospice, and the New York City public school system.
Currently in private practice, specializing in loss. She facilitates women’s circles that focus on self-care and identity after motherhood.
All proceeds from this circle will be donated to the Tree House Bereavement Center of Westchester, a local non-profit that provides Mount Kisco with a bi-monthly support group for families who are grieving. They “believe that grief is a personal journey and that each person deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive, accepting environment. Our mission is to create a safe and caring environment where both adult and child receive the special attention and support needed to move through the pain of grief toward hope and healing.” (https://www.bcwtreehouse.org/)
